Yuuki Aoi

Today, for the music corner, I will be introducing a singer/voice actress/actress , 悠木 碧(Yuuki Aoi). For those who may not be familiar with her, perhaps the fact that she is the voice behind the character, Madoka, in Puella Magi Madoka Magica may ring a familiar tune in your heads.

Yuuki Aoi (real name Aoi Yabusaki (八武崎 碧))

or known by her fans better as あおちゃん (Aochan), started off as a child actor at the young age of 4 and had her debut as an voice actress when she was grade 5. From then on, she have had many roles in the voice acting industry, notably Iris from Pokemon: Best Wishes!, Hibiki Tachibana from the Symphogearseries, more recently, Yuuki from Sword Art Online II, and so on.

The multi-talented Yuuki Aoi is not only known for her work as a Seiyuu, she is also known for her singing talent. She released her first mini-album “Petipa” on March 28, 2012, and the second mini Meriba on February 13, 2013. Her first single, “VisuMania”, the ending theme for the anime World Conquest Zvezda Plot was released on the January 29,2014, and subsequently Cupid Review on April 30 2014, for the opening theme of Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara. She will also be releasing her first full album, イシュメル (Ishumeru) on February 11, 2015!

In 2013, she formed a unit, Petit Milady with fellow voice actress Ayana Taketatsu, which I will go on about when I have the chance!

Adding on to releases, she will be having a concert 「プルミエ」(Purumie), on April 19 this year at Yokohama! Currently, the ticket ballots are only available to members in her fanclub, AoimAniA, which was created in 2014. I would have went if finals wasn’t the week after it!! (;´ ༎ຶ Д ༎ຶ )
