NTU JAC X Jobu University Etegami Workshop

Hi JAC-ians!

We are having a special collaboration with Jobu University, where they will be holding a workshop on the art of etegami (picture postcard). In this 3-part workshop, you will get to learn the history and techniques of etegami from the chairperson of Jobu University herself and have a hands-on experience making your own etegami and stone paintings! If you're worried about materials, fret not! Participants will be fully provided with the necessary materials, free of charge! No Japanese proficiency is needed as there will be translators to guide you through.

You will be required to participate in all 3 sessions, The details of the workshop are as follows:

Session 1

Date: 25 Feb 2022 (Fri)

Time: 07:00 PM - 08:30 PM

Location: Online Zoom session

Topic: History of etegami and painting techiniques (Actual etegami drawing will be completed by each student post-session)

Session 2

Date: 04 Mar 2022 (Fri)

Time: 07:00 PM - 08:30 PM

Location: Online Zoom session

Topic: Presentation of your etegami and painting practice on stones (Actual stone drawing will be completed by each student post-session)

Session 3

Date: 11 Mar 2022 (Fri)

Time: 07:00 PM - 08:30 PM

Location: Online Zoom session

Topic: Presentation of your stone work and free chat

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this event will be held entirely online through Zoom. The sign up will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Only confirmed participants will be contacted. If you have been selected, you will be able to collect the required materials from us at specified timings, which will be confirmed later.
