JAC Picnic 2016

JAC Picnic was without doubt one of the most anticipated event of the year.

It was a good opportunity for all JAC members to gather together to unwind during the recess week, not to mention a chance for the secluded IT sub-committee to mingle with the rest of JAC. 。(*^▽^*)ゞ

Location:

As per tradition, our picnic is held at the Marina Barrage. Thankfully, there was no threat of a haze, unlike the previous year (Yokatta~)

Food:

One of the highlights of JAC picnic is of course the food! We got to savour many delicious Japanese food which were brought by our members! Oishii desu~!

Game 1

Once everyone was gathered, our Events team kick-started with the first game!

This game entails members into playing mind games.

A yes-no question will be asked and you need to be among the minority to enter the next round.

After a few rounds of questions, the number of players were narrowed down to 5.

(AKA the finalists).

In a decisive moment, the final question was asked and a winner emerged!

Congratulations!

Game 2

The second game is our very own annual Ninja game! In this game, you have 3 moves and you have to eliminate your opponents by using your hands to touch your opponent’s hand below the elbows. This is a high adrenaline game where alliances are formed and broken in a matter of seconds. Tensions are high as you stay on guard to prevent being eliminated. Let down your guard and you may find yourself in the back row, as a ‘ghost’.

As with all Ninja games in JAC, there are many ninja poses appearing. This year is no exception!

Here are some that caught our eye:

The remaining players quickly dwindled as the Ninjas eliminated each other in a swift manner.

After a hard-fought victory, a champion emerged. Good job ninjas!

Game 3

Before we knew it, we had reached the last game for today. This game is similar to the pass the bomb game but with a twist. When the music stops, if you have the parcel, you get to unwrap one layer. However, you need to clear a trial.

If you unwrap the parcel totally, the prize is yours to keep!

Some of the trials include charades,

Tongue-twisters,

With our president showing his prowess at Japanese ೕ(˃̵ᴗ˂̵ ๑)

Singing ABCs while balancing on one foot,

And lastly, dancing.

After all the hardships, these members deserved their rewards! (Rambutan (˵¯̴͒ꇴ¯̴͒˵) )

With the conclusion of the 3rd game, the main highlights of the picnic were over. Many of us continued to stay around to play other games. I had a lot of fun during the picnic and I am sure that all of us did as well.

Missed the picnic this year? No worries, we look forward to seeing you there next year!
